Mammalian expression system

Mammalian expression system

We currently use CHO cells and HEK293 cells for construction of mammalian expression systems. With regard to vectors, we can use any standard vector designed for transient or stable expression. We currently work with stable transformation of FreeStyle(TM) CHO-S cells using the Flp-In(TM) system from Invitrogen to achieve single-copy, site-specific integration. Furthermore, we offer clients stable protein expression using the CHEF1 system from CMC Biologics.

 Bioneer can provide:

  • The expression vector is constructed from a desired gene which is either isolated from a source organism (cDNA or DNA) or a codon-optimised version of the gene.
  • Stable transformants with a single copy or multiple copies of the desired gene can be isolated.
  • Stable transformants with the desired gene integrated at random or at a specific location can be created.
  • We can offer to create a Research Master Cell Bank based on customer needs.
