E. coli production process optimisation and scale-up

Following an initial feasibility study, Bioneer can optimise protein expression with respect to yield in order to reduce production costs. Furthermore, we can assist in scale-up of the fermentation process. At this stage, the fermentation processes normally take place in-house in fermentors of 1 L and 20 L. In collaboration with a partner, the fermentation process can be scaled up to 2000 L production volume if needed.

Bioneer offers:

• Optimisation of fermentation conditions by identifying critical process parameters
• Development of nutrient feed strategies for increased yield
• Optimisation of the process in chemically defined media free of animal components
• Estimation of yield by common protein analyses as well as methods specific for the protein of interest
• Development of a robust, scalable and reproducible process
• Preparation of the fermentation product for down stream processing
