Biomarker Assay Development
Bioneer is capable of developing multiplex assays on e.g. tissue sections, where we combine immunohistochemical detection of protein/peptide biomarkers and in situ hybridization of nucleic acid on the same tissue section. An advanced image processing facility enables us to provide high-resolution spatial localization of the specific signals with a reference to e.g. a routine H&E staining
Figure: Immunohistochemistry and microRNA in situ hybridization performed on the tissue section. Cerebellum and hippocampus of a mouse brain are visualized. Red colour shows GFAP protein which is found in neuronal cells, green colour shows miRNA expression while the blue colour shows a nuclear staining.
In the case where a single molecule such as a microRNA or a protein shows biomarker potential, Bioneer offers:
- specific assay development and optimization for the reliable and sensitive detection of the biomarker from relevant biological sources
