Immune related cell line models
Classically used immune models based upon studies in cell lines are provided by Bioneer. We offer studies with cells of macrophage or monocytic origin, like human cancer cell lines e.g. THP-1, HL60, U937 or the murine cell line RAW264.7. Many other cell lines of specific interest can be applied upon request. Specific models can be designed according to customer needs, either based on classical stimulants like LPS or using specific ligands if a desired pathway needs to be activated according to the drug target of interest.
Relevant end-points could be:
- Cytokine and Chemokine readout (e.g. IL-1, 6, TNF-alpha)
- FACS analyses of maturation markers e.g. CD40, 80, 86, MHC II,) or potentially intracellular markers
- Cell proliferation and survival
- Intracellular markers of inflammation determined using western blot (e.g. COX2, iNOS, cytokines)
These models are suitable for screening of larger panels of candidates in preclinical testing, where the target is confirmed present or activated. Most cell line models can with advantage be used as PMA treated models which induces a macrophage like phenotype (Please see figure 1).
