New possibilities in targeting the human immune system
DCs are the most potent antigen presenting cells of the immune system and they are responsible for activation of the adaptive immune system in response to infections. DCs are among the key regulators of the immune system in immunological disorders such as autoimmune and allergic diseases and are thus promising targets for treatment of these disorders. Bioneer now offers immune models of Th1, Th2 and Th17 phenotypes.

FDA sponsors Bioneer:FARMA development on Quality-by-Design
The American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has donated $ 169.000 to the Pharmaceutical Faculty at the University of Copenhagen. The FDA-grant will facilitate the development of new tools for predicting oral bioavailability of drug candidates and improve the Quality-By-Design concept.
FDA has initiated a new strategy - Quality by Design - seeking novel and better in vitro prediction methods for drug absorption. These research activities will be performed in a close collaboration between regulatory authorities (FDA), The Pharmaceutical Faculty of Copenhagen University and Bioneer:FARMA. The project is headed by Dr. Anette Müllertz from Bioneer:FARMA. The new models derived in this project will be available to clients by the second half of 2010.
